Kus to Participate in "Chicago Zoning Reform: Tenth Anniversary" Panel Discussion
Partner Edward J. Kus will be one of four panelists at the “Chicago Zoning Reform: Tenth Anniversary” program, presented by the American Planning Association, Illinois State Chapter, in conjunction with the Chaddick Institute and the Real Estate Center at DePaul University. Kus has an extensive background in Chicago zoning law, land use and real estate development. During his previous tenure in city government, Kus was appointed executive director of the Mayor’s Zoning Reform Commission, which was charged with rewriting the 1957 Chicago Zoning Ordinance. The "Chicago Zoning Reform" program marks one decade since the new zoning ordinance took effect in the city of Chicago.
The program will be held the afternoon of July 29 at DePaul University, 1 E. Jackson, Room 9005. It will offer a brief overview of the impact of the rewrite over the last 10 years, followed by an engaging panel discussion by those, like Kus, who both shaped the ordinance and work under it.
