Jeff Witt Featured in Law360, Bloomberg Law, and The Daily Report
Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation attorney Jeff Witt joined the firm as partner in the Washington, D.C., office.
Upon the announcement, Witt spoke with Law360 Pulse’s Jack Rodgers. Witt and Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice Chair Ed Emerson began their legal careers together and share similar philosophies.
“And one of the things that we share is our perspective on the practice. What we have tried to do individually in our careers is be able to provide the best client service, so being responsive, being able to answer complicated questions in plain English, and then providing practical solutions,” Witt told Law360.
Witt also spoke with Rogers regarding the soon-to-expire Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 and if or how lawmakers may extend such cuts.
“I expect there’s going to be a fair amount of discussion of what they can do to enable some of these tax cuts; where are they going to find the money?” Witt said.
Additionally, Witt expanded on how the firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice’s expanded footprint in the Washington, D.C., market will positively impact success for clients.
“But also add another dimension, where we’re right where all the federal policy-making is happening, and so that gives an added insight that we can bring not just to the D.C. clients but to all our clients across the board,” Witt said.
