Helfman to Speak at 32nd Annual AAML Ohio Family Law Symposium

Jill Friedman Helfman, chair of Taft’s Domestic Relations practice, will speak on, “What the Family Lawyer Needs to Know about Bankruptcy,” together with Judge Allan Koschik from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Ohio. Helfman and Koschik will address bankruptcy and divorce cases, including if, when, and how clients should file; the impact upon property settlement and support obligations; and how to manage the interplay between bankruptcy and domestic relations courts.

The family law symposium, presented by the Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, will bring together attorneys, magistrates, and judges from across Ohio. This year, the symposium will be a live interactive webinar. Seven hours of CLE credit will be offered.
