Heather Friedman Receives Real Estate Award
Connect Commercial Real Estate has named Heather Friedman one of its 2022 Lawyers in Real Estate for Atlanta and the Southeast. Friedman, a partner in the firm’s Environmental Practice, is also the president of the Georgia Brownfield Association.
Connect CRE is a daily source of commercial real estate news. Its editors say they chose the honorees for excelling in their practices and contributing to the community. They add that they chose the winners from a very competitive field of nominees.
Connect’s online profile of Friedman notes that she focuses her legal practice on resolving complex environmental issues from a business perspective:
“She uses her extensive understanding of environmental considerations and their legal ramifications to advise clients on a wide variety of environmental matters. She routinely engages with the U.S. Environmental Protection and state agencies on brownfield projects, superfund sites, hazardous site cleanups, National Environmental Policy Act matters, underground storage tank programs and wetland and state water permitting. She is a frequent presenter on environmental considerations associated with buying, selling and redeveloping environmentally impacted properties.”
In addition to leading the Georgia Brownfield Association her community work also includes mentoring younger attorneys. Both Best Lawyers® and Chambers USA: The Best Lawyers for Business, recognize her for her work in Environmental Law. She has also been named a Georgia Super Lawyer Rising Star.
