Taft Partner Zachary Heck will be speaking at the upcoming 2026 Analytics and AI Summit at the University of Cincinnati. Heck will be discussing the legal ramifications of the usage of AI in healthcare in his session, “Healing or Halting:  Navigating the Legal Landscape of AI in Healthcare.” Attendees will come away with a clearer understanding of where the real legal risk lies in building and deploying AI in a healthcare setting, how regulators are approaching software as a medical device, what HIPAA actually requires when patient data is used to train AI systems, and where thoughtful legal counsel can open doors rather than simply close them.
