Harris Joins Taft’s Intellectual Property Group
Taft is pleased to announce that Darrin Wesley Harris has joined the firm’s Indianapolis office as of counsel in its Intellectual Property group. Since April, Taft has added 14 intellectual property attorneys.
Harris has more than 20 years of combined experience in intellectual property prosecution, litigation and licensing, representing various clients in the mechanical, computer, electronic, telecommunication and medical industries.
Harris earned a B.S. in electrical/computer engineering with honors from the United States Air Force Academy. As a decorated U.S. Air Force Lieutenant/Captain, he served as a lead contract negotiator, where he was responsible for the negotiation and management of Department of Defense contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
After serving in the Air Force, Harris earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he participated in the Journal of Law and Technology and Committee on Sports and Entertainment Law.
