Taft partners Nathan Hagerman and Mark Shublak presented at the 2021 Indiana Housing Conference on Sept. 17 hosted by the Indiana Affordable Housing Council and Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority. They participated in a panel on Indiana property taxation of affordable housing. Shublak also presented at a session on legislative policy changes impacting affordable housing.

Hagerman counsels business clients in all areas of state and local taxes, including controversies, administrative proceedings, audits, appeals, litigation, and planning. Hagerman has presented before numerous industry and professional organizations on various state and local taxation matters.

Shublak is co-chair of Taft’s Public Affairs Strategies Group. His legislative practice spans over 20 years, concentrating on state and local advocacy, legislative monitoring, grassroots programming, and political strategy. He represents clients in a wide range of legislative, regulatory, and procurement matters at all levels of government.
