Guevara to Speak at ABA's Spring Conference on Environmental Law

Taft partner David Guevara, Ph.D. will speak at the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources 52nd Spring Conference on Environmental Law. The conference will be held April 26-28, 2023 in Denver, and Guevara will speak on April 27. His presentation is titled “It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over: Best Practices in Post-Closing Obligations.”

Guevara leads Taft’s Brownfield and Site Development practice area and concentrates his practice in complex environmental litigation and insurance law matters. His clients include corporations, municipalities, real estate development firms, and individuals, each of whom are exposed to some form of, or seek to avoid, legal liability. In addition, Guevara counsels businesses, real estate development firms, municipalities, redevelopment commissions, financial institutions, and individuals in the acquisition, disposition, and redevelopment of environmentally-contaminated properties. He also provides economic development and public-finance representation to clients involved in the development of environmentally-impaired real estate.
