Grady Receives Community Service Award from Lambda Alpha International

Taft Stettinius & Hollister is pleased to announce that Chicago partner Graham C. Grady is the recipient of the Lambda Alpha International Ely Chicago Chapter “Doris and Marshall Holleb Community Service Award.” Grady was presented the honor at the 2019 New Member Initiation Banquet on Wed., June 19 at the Peninsula Chicago.

The Doris and Marshall Holleb Community Service Award honors the late couple’s legacy in the community and their devotion to local institutions. Doris was a celebrated urban planning expert and former member of the Chicago Plan Commission. Her husband Marshall was a prominent Chicago real estate attorney.

Membership in Lambda Alpha International is an honor. At the cornerstone of this honor is the maxim “the law of society is service.” Lambda Alpha International has chapters in many key cities in the United States, Canada, England and Madrid with members-at large in many other parts of the world. Its membership is a “Who’s Who in Land Economics” honoring men and women who have distinguished themselves in land economics-related activities.

Grady gained government industry experience through his prior professional roles in municipal government, by serving as the Commissioner for the City of Chicago Department of Buildings, the Zoning Administrator of the City of Chicago Department of Zoning and on the Chicago Plan Commission. He focuses his practice on the city of Chicago and Cook County and provides legal counsel for compliance, regulatory, public policy and encompasses zoning, land use, building code compliance, licensing, construction agreements, government contracts, procurement and legislative approvals.
