Grady Elected to Civic Consulting Alliance of the Commercial Club of Chicago Board of Directors
Taft Chicago partner Graham C. Grady has been elected to the board of directors of the Civic Consulting Alliance (CCA) of the Commercial Club of Chicago. He joins a board of 44 senior leaders from Chicago’s most prominent corporate, nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. CCA board members provide invaluable resources, including pro bono project teams, “on loan” executives, funding and counsel to maximize the impact of the CCA’s work. The CCA is currently assisting Chicago Mayor-elect Lori Lightfoot in her transition.
CCA clients are public sector leaders including the Mayor, Cook County President, Cook County Health and Hospitals System and others. CCA’s mission is to develop and execute projects that leverage public sector vision and private sector expertise to solve the Chicago region’s biggest problems and greatest opportunities in four areas: education, criminal justice and public safety, economic vitality and inclusive civic leadership.
Grady gained government industry experience through his prior professional roles in municipal government, by serving as the Commissioner for the City of Chicago Department of Buildings, the Zoning Administrator of the City of Chicago Department of Zoning and on the Chicago Plan Commission. He focuses his practice on the city of Chicago and Cook County and provides legal counsel for compliance, regulatory, public policy and encompasses zoning, land use, building code compliance, licensing, construction agreements, government contracts, procurement and legislative approvals.
