Chicago Real Estate partner Graham C. Grady has been appointed to the AIA Illinois Board of Directors, serving as at-large director. His term begins immediately and will run through December 2021.

AIA Illinois is the state component of the national American Institute of Architects. Headquartered in Springfield, near the Illinois Statehouse, it represents more than 4,000 members working to build livable communities from Cairo to Chicago.

AIA Illinois advocates for interns, sole practitioners, principals, government employees, and its own clients, and provides leadership training and special programs. As the voice of the architecture profession in Illinois, AIA Illinois delivers a nonpartisan perspective to assist in the development of partnerships and good public policy. The organization develops and/or supports specific legislative positions based on principles concerning:

• Licensing;
• Building codes, standards, and safety;
• High standards of leadership.

Grady focuses his practice on the city of Chicago and Cook County and helps secure necessary approvals for land developments in the Chicago metropolitan area. He received his. B.A. from the University of Illinois and earned his J.D., with honors, from Northwestern University School of Law.
