Taft partners Graham Grady and Derrick Thompson, Jr. have been named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2022 list of Notable Black Leaders and Executives. Honorees are black leaders in the Chicago area who have displayed the ability to advance their industries, places of work, and communities. Grady advises real estate developers, investors, and property owners on land use entitlements. He helps secure necessary approvals for land developments in the Chicago metropolitan area. Grady is a member of the Commercial Club of Chicago, the Economic Club of Chicago, and is the founder of Chicago African-Americans in Commercial Real Estate (Chi-AACRE). 

Thompson has significant experience representing clients in complex business disputes and related negotiations. He focuses on a variety of litigation matters, including partnership disputes, real estate litigation, employment litigation, intellectual property disputes, trust and fiduciary litigation, and sports and entertainment-related disputes.
