Taft welcomes of counsel attorneys Nathan Fulmer and Brianna Stuart to the firm’s Tax and Litigation practices (respectively) in the Cleveland office.

Fulmer is a business and tax attorney who focuses his practice on tax controversy and planning and advises clients across a broad spectrum of general business and tax matters. He counsels both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, helping them navigate the tax implications of their business strategies and helping them achieve their goals in the most tax-efficient manner. His practice includes experience in state and local tax planning and disputes, including Ohio and multistate sales and use tax, income and commercial activity taxes, and personal income tax.

Prior to joining Taft, Fulmer practiced at a well-known regional law firm in Cleveland and Akron. He earned his J.D., cum laude, and a Master of Taxation from the University of Akron, and his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from The Ohio State University.

Stuart is a seasoned litigator and corporate advisor with extensive experience navigating high-stakes disputes and complex business challenges. Her practice is built on a strong trial foundation, having contributed to all phases of civil litigation. Beyond the courtroom, Stuart serves as a practical business partner. She has deep experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements — including procurement, services, data privacy, and strategic agreements — and has led the development of global corporate policies and compliance programs.

Prior to joining Taft, Stuart served as senior counsel for a global industrial company. She earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from the Cleveland State University College of Law, and her bachelor’s degree from Miami University.
