Eliz Espinoza Named President of Colorado Nonprofit LAW SCHOOL…Yes We Can!

Taft domestic relations attorney Eliz Espinoza has been elected as president of LAW SCHOOL…Yes We Can! (LSYWC), Colorado’s first law school pipeline program.

In her new role, Espinoza will lead the nonprofit in fulfilling its mission to support first-generation and underrepresented students in pursuing law school and legal careers, while advancing diversity within Colorado’s legal profession.

Espinoza has been a dedicated leader within LSYWC for years, beginning as a mentor and later serving as chair of both the program and curriculum committee and the fundraising and donor communications committee. Her commitment propelled her to roles as founder of the young professional’s network and secretary to the board, culminating in her eventual election as president.

“I’m honored to step in as president of such an impactful program,” said Espinoza. “LSYWC has opened doors for so many students and enriched our community at large by bringing the unique lens of each of our students to the legal profession while expanding the community’s access to justice. I look forward to building on that legacy and continuing to increase opportunities for the next generation of legal professionals.”

In addition to her work with LSYWC, Espinoza actively contributes to other community initiatives. She previously served on the Rocky Mountain Multiple Sclerosis Center’s YPN Committee and chaired the organization’s Gala Auction. Currently, she serves as a board member and chair of the 2026 Colorado Pledge to Diversity.

Espinoza’s commitment to advocacy is prevalent in her work with the community and in her law practice. She is a dedicated family law attorney who works directly with families during some of the most challenging times in their lives. Her background and experiences have strengthened her perspective and honed the leadership skills she now brings to guiding LSYWC’s mission.
