Eaton Quoted in Chicago Daily Law Bulletin Article on New Word Limits for Appellate Briefs
Taft partner J. Timothy Eaton was quoted in the article “High Court Approves Word Limits for Appellate Briefs,” which appeared in the Dec. 11 edition of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. The changes, which will become effective Jan. 1, include word limits in addition to the current 50-page limit.
Eaton is a senior litigation partner in Taft’s Chicago office, concentrating on appeals, commercial litigation and arbitration. He is a former law clerk for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and is active in local and national bar associations. Eaton is a past president of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the Appellate Lawyers Association of Illinois.
