Duncombe and Sumner Quoted in Dayton Business Journal

Taft partners Barbara Duncombe and Suzanne Sumner were quoted in the Dayton Business Journal article “How new regulations will affect government contractors in the Dayton area.” The article discusses the National Defense Authorization Act for 2018 and the changes the new law will have as to how defense contractors file protests. It also discusses possible impacts to federal contractors if there are changes to NAFTA.

Duncombe is chair of Taft’s Government Contracts practice and a member of the firm’s executive committee. For over 25 years, she has worked with clients in responding to government investigations and False Claims Act cases and in conducting internal compliance investigations.

Sumner focuses her practice on government contracts law and commercial litigation. She assists prime contractors, subcontractors and public buyers with issues related to their government contracts, including compliance with Buy America and Trade Agreements Act requirements.

Both Duncombe and Sumner work with clients to address questions or problems with public contract formation, performance, administration, payment and dispute resolution.
