Dobyns to Present at Webinar on PPP Loans and the Impact on Federal Contractors
Taft attorney Brandon Dobyns will be a speaker at the webinar, “To Forgive or Not Forgive: PPP Loans and How They Affect Federal Awards,” co-hosted by Taft and CohnReznick on Feb. 9. The program will discuss the recent assessment by Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) on how the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) — and its forgiveness — impacts federal contractors and the wide-ranging ramifications including, detailing and/or documenting forgiveness, the forgiven cost presented in reporting, False Claims Act considerations and much more.
Dobyns serves as counsel to clients on government contract matters, including subcontracting, bid protests and contract interpretation. He also is a member of Taft’s PPP and Small Business Administration (SBA) Task Force. He has supported and authored many of the over 30 articles explaining and analyzing, in real time, the PPP as it evolved from March 2020 to present. Prior to joining Taft, Brandon was in-house counsel to a mid-sized government contractor, and understands the business realities facing clients in time of crisis.
