Deveau Receives Life Membership Award from Gary Branch of NAACP
Taft Stettinius & Hollister is pleased to announce that Frank J. Deveau received a Life Membership Award from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Gary, Indiana Branch. Deveau was recognized at the organization’s 54th Annual Life Membership Banquet on June 1. The Gary Branch supports the programs and policies of the NAACP, the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization, with aggressive action at the local level, with a focus on education. Taft is a supporter of the Gary Branch of NAACP and its programs to improve the educational, social and economic outcomes for others in the community.
Deveau is a partner in Taft’s Indianapolis office and chair of the firm’s Environmental practice group. Deveau espouses the mission of the NAACP through his active participation to better the Indianapolis community. In addition to his legal practice, he serves as president of the Homeless Family Foundation, Inc. of Indianapolis and is an active volunteer and contributor to Taft’s partnership with United Way of Central Indiana, which supports Ralph Waldo Emerson School (IPS 58) and the Center for Working Families Breaking Barriers Grant Program.
