Deegan to Present on Immigration Worksite Enforcement at DOJ Training Seminar

On June 5, Taft partner Pete Deegan will be presenting as part of a panel discussion on Immigration Worksite Enforcement Actions at the U.S. Department of Justice.  The presentation will be part of a training seminar for new and experienced Department of Justice attorneys on Criminal Immigration and Border Security at the National Advocacy Center in Columbia, South Carolina.  Deegan will discuss his experience planning and executing large and small worksite actions as a Department of Justice attorney.  He will also discuss best practices and legal compliance during all stages of a criminal worksite operation.

Deegan is a former U.S. Attorney with extensive experience in white collar criminal litigation and corporate compliance. A seasoned trial lawyer and partner in Taft’s Compliance, Investigations, and White Collar Defense practice, his client work is distinguished by his ability to navigate complex investigations and prosecutions. As a federal prosecutor, he co-led the investigation of the largest criminal immigration enforcement action in U.S. history. Along with Taft’s Immigration and Citizenship and Employment Law practice groups, Deegan helps clients navigate all aspects of criminal immigration enforcement while protecting the rights of workers and employers.
