Davis, Dobyns, and Sumner to Present at Collider Event on Bid Protests and REAs/Claims
Taft attorneys Erin Davis, Brandon Dobyns, and Suzanne Sumner will present at a Collider event on Sept. 8 at the Wright Brothers Institute. Davis counsels clients on all aspects of government contracts law from the pre-solicitation phase through contract closeout. She offers practical advice designed to comply with the ever-changing laws and regulations in increasingly competitive federal acquisitions. Davis is licensed to practice law in Ohio and the District of Columbia and is admitted to the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
Dobyns serves as counsel to clients on government contract matters, including subcontracting, bid protests, and contract interpretation. Prior to joining Taft, he served as in-house counsel to a mid-sized government contractor and understands the business realities facing clients in times of crisis. In addition to his previous experience as in-house counsel, Dobyns has served as outside counsel to several start-up businesses in various industries, including manufacturing, service, and a craft brewery.
Sumner is a partner and focuses her practice on government contracts law. She works closely with prime contractors and subcontractors on a variety of issues related to their government contracts. In addition to providing advice on issues pertaining to multi-million and multi-billion dollar government contracts, she serves on several boards and recently served as an Honorary Commander for the 445th Airlift Wing at WPAFB. Sumner has been named to the Who’s Who in Aerospace & Defense list since 2018. She has also been recognized on The Business Journal’s Influencers Law list and the Dayton BizWomen Power 50 list.
