Corporate Attorney Lindsey Goeddel Joins Taft’s Expanding Mountain West Team
Experienced corporate attorney Lindsey Goeddel has joined Taft’s Denver office. Goeddel represents clients in a variety of transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, financing, and commercial transactions. Prior to her law career, Goeddel served as a social worker, advocating for the well-being of women and children who are typically in difficult and traumatic situations.
“In social work, you develop a deep understanding of people and their individualized needs,” said Goeddel. “Those skills became invaluable when I transitioned to law, helping me build strong client relationships and navigate complex dynamics.”
Before transitioning to private practice, Goeddel served as in-house counsel in both the midstream oil and gas sector and the self-storage industry, gaining firsthand insight into the daily challenges businesses face. She later joined a corporate law firm in Denver, working alongside highly regarded corporate attorney Lee Fanyo, now a partner at Taft.
“I had the privilege of working with Lindsey years ago, and her contributions to the work we did was exceptional,” said Fanyo. “She’s the kind of attorney who thrives in any situation, across any industry, and consistently delivers the right results for clients.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Lindsey to our team in Denver,” said Taft’s Business Practice Group Chair Bill Peffer. “Her depth of experience and strategic insight will be a tremendous asset to our clients and a key component of our continued growth in the Mountain West.
“Beyond Lee’s influence, joining Taft felt like the natural next step in my career,” said Goeddel. “The firm’s strong commitment to specialized growth, combined with its collaborative culture and robust support system, creates an environment where we can deliver exceptional client service, a place where I look forward to growing my practice.”
Goeddel earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a master’s degree in forensic psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Effective Jan. 1, 2025, Sherman & Howard combined with Taft, creating a firm powered by more than 1,100 attorneys from Washington, D.C. to the Mountain West. The combination enables both firms to deepen their benches of attorneys and strengthen their service offerings. Since the merger announcement, the firm has added 36 new attorneys to the Mountain West offices, accelerating its strategic growth.
