Colom Presents to Local Initiatives Support Corporation
Taft partner Kiamesha-Sylvia Colom recently presented at the Local Initiative Support corporation (LISC) Emerging Developers webinar. The program focused on many areas including Letter of Intent, drafting a purchase agreement, closing checklist and timeline, representations & warranties as well as inspections and due diligence. The emerging developers group represent a variety of experience levels, from first-time to early-stage to scaling. Many come from a develop-adjacent field such as architecture or realty.
Colom serves as the Real Estate practice group lead for the Indianapolis office. She focuses her practice in the areas of real estate development, leasing, commercial real estate lending, finance transactions, and related business transactions. Colom serves on Taft’s Gender Advancement Committee and on the board of directors for the Eskenazi Health Foundation, Eskenazi Health Centers, Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Indianapolis, and Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) and has held numerous other leadership positions.
