Claerbout Joins Taft’s Intellectual Property Group

Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP is pleased to announce that Devin P. Claerbout has joined its Indianapolis office as a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group.

Claerbout focuses his practice on patent preparation and patent prosecution. He has experience preparing patent applications related to the architecture of and electro-hydraulic control systems for continuously variable transmissions and for gas turbine engines, handheld power tools and orthopedic surgical instruments.

Prior to joining private practice, Claerbout worked for Clarke Engineering Services as a project engineer, preparing and executing test protocols for equipment used in clinical trials packaging and manufacturing operations at Eli Lilly. While at Clarke, he gained experience with thermoforming, vision inspection, induction sealing processes, and performing statistical analyses of systems such as packaging lines.

Claerbout earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and his J.D. from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law.
