Chicago Attorneys to Speak on Illinois Cannabis Laws
Taft Chicago attorneys Michael D. Froelich, Graham C. Grady, and Jeremy Stonehill will be panelists for “Illinois Cannabis: Complex Legal Issues” presented by the Illinois State Bar Association’s Health Care Law Section Council and Young Lawyers Division on April 20. The seminar will provide a comprehensive review of medical and recreational cannabis legislation related to licensing, employment, and other pertinent topics.
Froelich is highly knowledgeable about the Illinois Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act, the Illinois Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act and the medical and recreational cannabis laws of many other states. He has assisted clients with all aspects of the applications to establish cannabis businesses.
Grady’s real estate practice focuses on the City of Chicago and Cook County. He helps secure necessary approvals for land developments in the Chicago metropolitan area. Grady received his. B.A. from the University of Illinois and earned his J.D., with honors, from Northwestern University School of Law.
Stonehill concentrates his practice in corporate and securities matters, with special emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and federal securities law compliance. He is experienced in negotiating and drafting merger and asset purchase agreements, credit facility documents and corporate governance documents, as well as preparing, reviewing and filing Security Act reports and Exchange Act reports.
