Taft partner Michael D. Chambers has been appointed to the board of directors for Imagine Indiana Life Sciences Academy West.

Chambers is a member of Taft’s Environmental and Litigation practice groups. He represents clients in all aspects of environmental law, including litigation, regulatory advice and environmental due diligence. His litigation practice has included representation of companies in environmental cost recovery and contribution actions, defense of government claims under CERCLA and state statutes for cleanup of contaminated sites, insurance coverage, appeals including general civil matters and administrative appeal and judicial review of governmental enforcement actions, toxic tort suits, regulatory takings and zoning matters. Chambers' regulatory practice includes permitting for air, water and hazardous waste issues, environmental auditing and self-disclosure requirements, and overseeing cleanup and closure of contaminated sites. He also works on the environmental aspects of real estate transactions and mergers and acquisitions.
