Camillucci Speaks on "The Art and Science of Student Housing P3s" at HEREL Conference
Taft Chicago partner Karl D. Camillucci participated in a panel titled “The Art & Science of Student Housing P3s: Our Students and Other People’s Money,” at the Higher Education Real Estate Lawyers (HEREL) Annual Conference on Nov. 5, 2026.
Camillucci joined Dan Piper, Senior Associate General Counsel, University of Minnesota, and Scott Abrams, Senior Principal Counsel, Real Estate, University of California. The panelists provided an analytical framework and discipline for the decision-making, negotiations, and transactional process associated with executing a student housing public-private partnership.
Taft was a sponsor of the Annual Conference, and Taft attorney Howard Zweig is a founding member of the organization. Established in 2003, HEREL is an informal organization of higher education lawyers committed to providing networking and high-quality CLE opportunities for attorneys who practice real estate law at institutions of higher education.
