Boulette Joins Taft's Domestic Relations Practice

Michael Boulette has joined Taft Law as a partner in Minneapolis. He is a member of the firm’s Domestic Relations practice. Michael focuses his practice on complex divorce, child custody, and family law litigation matters.

His experience includes handling divorces with high and ultra-high net worth estates, often including closely-held businesses and family partnerships, intergenerational wealth and trusts, difficult valuation issues, and fraud and concealed assets. As a trusted resource on issues of divorce and child custody, Michael is frequently cited in the media, appearing in The Wall Street JournalThe Fiscal Times, Forbes.com, and the Star Tribune.

Michael is also among the few family law attorneys who has repeatedly argued cases on his clients’ behalf before Minnesota’s appellate courts – including multiple cases before Minnesota’s Supreme Court.

“Michael’s considerable experience with high-stakes divorce and family matters, combined with his litigation and appellate advocacy experience, make him a great asset to Taft’s Domestic Relations practice and to our clients,” said Jill Friedman Helfman, partner and head of Taft’s Domestic Relations group.

Before joining the firm, Michael practiced at a large U.S. law firm. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from University of St. Thomas School of Law; and his B.A., magna cum laude, in philosophy and government and legal studies from Bowdoin College.
