Taft senior counsel Amy L. Beard will speak at the Insurance Consumer Affairs Exchange’s (ICAE) 2026 Fall Conference, Sept. 20–23. Beard will join a panel discussion titled “The Rise of AI-Generated Complaints: Navigating Volume, Validity and Compliance,” where she will discuss challenges and opportunities related to generative AI and insurance complaints, including issues of abundance, authenticity and assessment. Beard previously served as Insurance Commissioner and leads Taft’s insurance regulatory practice. She brings over a decade of public service to the firm and extensive experience in major insurance regulatory matters, including acquisitions and mergers of domestic insurance companies, formation and licensing of insurance companies, health care reform, regulatory practices, insurance policy form and rate filings, insurance company compliance, insurance holding company matters, multi-state examinations, receiverships, and government contracts.
