Barnes Appointed to Case Comprehensive Cancer Center Advisory Council
Kevin D. Barnes, partner-in-charge of Taft’s Cleveland office, has been appointed to the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center Advisory Council for a three-year term.
As one of only 41 centers in the nation to hold a comprehensive center designation from the National Cancer Institute, the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center mobilizes more than 350 scientists and physicians in a unified effort to prevent, detect and treat cancer. It integrates all the major cancer research activities of the largest biomedical research and health care institutions in Ohio. The goal is to impact cancer research locally, nationally and internationally. The Advisory Council spearheads fundraising efforts that advance and accelerate cancer research and discoveries locally between collaborative partners University Hospitals Case Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic.
Barnes received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and focuses his practice on international business, financing, FCPA compliance and investigations, and corporate and commercial transactions.
