Awakessien Jeter to Serve as Moderator for Trademark Law Panel at AIPLA Annual Meeting
Taft Intellectual Property partner Ukeme Awakessien Jeter will moderate a panel during the “Trademark Law and Ethics” session at the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) 2023 Annual Meeting on Oct. 19. Speakers for the event will discuss current developments, emerging trends, and critical issues impacting the IP space. Topics will include the ethical consequences of AI in research and development, trademarks and the First Amendment, PTAB, and more.

She has extensive experience working with companies to protect, innovate, and commercialize products, services, and brands. Awakessien Jeter serves on the board of directors for Ohio Legal Help, is an appointed member of the Community Relations Committee for the City of Upper Arlington, and is a member of the United Way of Central Ohio – Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council.
