Amarilio Named a 2026 Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Leader
Taft is pleased to announce that Jonathan B. Amarilio has been named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2026 list of Notable Leaders in Accounting, Consulting & Law. Amarilio is one of only 135 professionals named to this list, which includes leaders and practitioners from Chicago’s most prominent law firms, those who have served at the highest levels of business and government, and others whose work shapes the law, business, and civic life.

Amarilio is co-chair of Taft’s firmwide Appellate and Critical Motions practice. He represents individuals, businesses, and state and local governments in civil appellate litigation and critical-motion matters before state and federal appellate courts. In addition to his legal practice, Amarilio serves on several bar association and charitable boards and is a frequent author and speaker on a range of legal topics. He was recently elected Second Vice President of the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) for the 2026-2027 bar year and will serve as CBA President for the 2028-2029 bar year.
