Amarilio Moderates Illinois Supreme Court Debates
Taft Chicago partner Jonathan Amarilio was a moderator for two Illinois Supreme Court debates hosted by the Appellate Lawyers Association (ALA) on Oct. 21 and Oct. 25. The virtual candidate forums featured justices running for the Second District and Third District Illinois Supreme Court seats. The debates focused on court operations, policy views, diversity, election-related issues, and pressing concerns they would address if elected, among other topics.
Amarilio serves as co-chair of Taft’s firm-wide Appellate group. He represents individuals, small businesses, state and local governments, and Fortune 500 companies before state and federal appellate courts in his civil appellate litigation and critical motion practice. Amarilio serves as President of the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association and is a frequent author and speaker on various topics.
