Amarilio Elected President of the Appellate Lawyers Association

Taft Chicago partner Jonathan B. Amarilio has been elected to serve as the 2022-2023 president of the Appellate Lawyers Association (ALA). The ALA annual meeting and installation ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 30 at 12:00 pm CST. 

Founded in 1968, the ALA is an association of lawyers who practice in the courts of review, and of judges who serve on those courts. Amarilio is a longtime member of the group and previously served as vice president.

Amarilio serves as co-chair of Taft’s firm-wide Appellate practice group. He represents individuals, small businesses, state and local governments, and Fortune 500 companies before state and federal appellate courts in his civil appellate litigation and critical motion practice. Amarilio serves on several bar associations and charitable boards, and is a frequent author and speaker on various topics.
