Taft Chicago partner Jonathan Amarilio contributed the chapter “Stays and Appeal Bonds” for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education publication Civil Appeals: State and Federal. This handbook is a guide through the progression of a civil appeal.

Amarilio serves as co-chair of Taft’s firm-wide Appellate practice group. He represents individuals, small businesses, state and local governments, and Fortune 500 companies before state and federal appellate courts in his civil appellate litigation and critical motion practice. Amarilio serves on several bar associations and charitable boards and is a frequent author and speaker on various topics.
