Amarilio Appointed to Illinois Supreme Court Committee
Taft Chicago partner Jonathan Amarilio was appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to its Committee on Character and Fitness for the First Judicial District. The committee works with the Illinois Board of Admissions and assists the Illinois Supreme Court in evaluating applicants to the Illinois bar based on their moral character and general fitness to practice law.
Amarilio is a member of Taft’s Litigation practice. He focuses on civil appellate litigation and critical motion practice. He has experience representing individuals, small businesses, state and local governments and a number of Fortune 500 companies before state and federal appellate courts, primarily the Illinois Appellate Court, the Illinois Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.
