Alexander and Deveau to Present at ICLEF Advanced Environmental Law Seminar

Taft partners Scott Alexander and Frank Deveau will present at the ICLEF Advanced Environmental Law Seminar to be held July 23-24 in French Lick, Ind. Deveau is chair of the seminar and will moderate the program. Alexander will speak on the impact of COVID-19 on the environmental practice and EPA and state policies dealing with the pandemic.

Alexander has over 25 years of experience representing clients concerning all aspects of environmental law, with an emphasis on Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, CERCLA and Endangered Species Act compliance and liability issues; permitting; compliance; Brownfields redevelopment; environmental audits; renewable energy issues; underground storage tank regulations; civil and criminal enforcement actions; toxic tort litigation; environmental insurance coverage negotiation and litigation; strategic regulatory planning and negotiation of environmental issues in business, M&A, redevelopment and real estate transactions.

Deveau is chair of Taft’s Environmental practice group and represents clients in relation to all aspects of environmental law. He has assisted clients in administrative proceedings, obtaining and maintaining compliance with solid and hazardous waste permits, air permits, water discharge permits, CAFO and CFO permits. He also advises and defends clients in relation to environmental litigation involving private parties, and federal and state government.
