Every business is built on the idea that it has information that is indispensable to its success – and limiting employees' use of this information is imperative if that business wants to continuing succeeding. It is equally important that attorneys representing business clients know how to draft, review and enforce non-competes, non-disclosures and non-solicitation agreements for their business clients.
Saeedi’s presentation, “Restrictive Covenants – The Current State of the Law in Illinois,” will explore current case law regarding the “reasonableness” of a restrictive covenant and enforceability. He will examine:
- What standards must be met in order for a covenant to be deemed reasonable.
- Whether any special rules regarding the consideration for enforceability exist.
- How Illinois law compares to California and New York.
- Non-competes, customer non-solicitation, employee non-solicitation and non-disclosures.
Saeedi focuses his practice on commercial litigation. He has litigation experience in a diverse range of state and federal matters, including municipal liability, constitutional litigation, breach of contract, fraud, fiduciary law, professional negligence, appellate, employment law, health fraud and discrimination claims.
