Trade Secrets on the Move: Valuable New Hires, Loaded AI Prompts, or Employees Depart for a Competitor

Employees need access to valuable business information to do their jobs—but what happens when they bring the proprietary information from your competitor, share your information with an AI tool, or take your information to their next employer?

Join our webinar for a practical discussion of trade secret protection in the workplace—we’ll share best practices on how to protect confidential business information and what to do when things go sideways.

The program will begin with the fundamentals in an era where non-competes are increasingly unenforceable.  We will touch on what qualifies as a trade secret and how companies identify and protect confidential information against leakage into the market.  We will also discuss how misappropriation disputes unfold and how to act when the situation arises. Panelists will then explore practical approaches to recruitment and onboarding, confidentiality policies and training, employee use of AI tools, and departures. Through real-world hypotheticals, the panel will discuss protecting company information while managing the risks of receiving or using the information of someone else.

Pending 1.00 hr CLE credit in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, New York, and Ohio.
