Taft attorneys John M. Riccione, WIlliam J. Serritella, Jr. and Brianna M. Skelly will present "The Seller Has Breached – Now What? An Exhaustive Look at the Buyer’s Remedies Under the Uniform Commercial Code" for the Association of Corporate Counsel on July 19.
The program will focus on the many remedies available to buyers under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) when sellers breach. In particular, the panel will focus on what kinds of remedies are available to purchasers when sellers commit various types of breaches, whether and how those remedies can be disclaimed or limited, and what, if any, obligations buyers have to mitigate their damages. In addition, the program will address the differences under the UCC when commercial and consumer goods are involved, and the panel will address the more controversial and current issues involving buyers’ remedies under the UCC.
