Taft Hosted Navy Launch Private Capital Forum

Taft was proud to host BMNT’s Navy Launch Private Capital Forum on July 15, 2025, in Washington, DC. This hybrid event supported Navy SBIR Phase II awardees in exploring commercialization strategies and accessing private capital opportunities.

Taft attorneys presented on key funding topics:

• Becky Pearson (Partner) moderated the panel “Building the Right Capital Stack”
• Alex Gorelik (Associate) spoke on “Private Capital 101: Building Blocks”

The Navy Launch program, contracted through the Department of the Navy SBIR/STTR Programs Office, has helped 65+ companies participate and raised over $50M in investment. The forum provided targeted training, expert panels, and curated networking with investors, lenders, and legal advisors.
