Celebrating Black History through the power of poetry and performance

Join Taft in celebrating Black History Month with a powerful spoken word poetry performance by Pikes Peak Region Poet Laureate, Ashley Cornelius.

Through poetry and performance, the afternoon will honor the voices, stories, and legacies that shape Black culture and history. The event will feature Cornelius’ original spoken word alongside a collaborative poem created from affirmations written by participants during an interactive workshop. We invite you to an inspiring afternoon as we celebrate the echoes of Black voices that continue to shape our world.
