APABA Indiana's Annual Lunar New Year CLE
Celebrate the Year of the Rat at the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Indiana’s annual LUNAR NEW YEAR CLE. The event is sponsored by the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Indiana, the Indiana State Bar Association Diversity Committee, the Indianapolis Bar Association and Taft.
About this Event
The Year of the Rat signifies a new cycle for the whole Zodiac. Rats are considered a symbol of abundance, good luck, and wealth in both China and Japan. The Rat symbolizes strong vitality in culture for two reasons. One reason is that the Rat has a strong reproductive capacity with a high survival rate, and about 5,000 babies are born to one female rat each year. The other reason is the Rat’s fertility. Because of their reproduction rate, married couples prayed to them for children.
