This session will explore the implications of the latest developments for businesses, legal professionals, and privacy advocates, offering practical insights into compliance strategies and the future direction of consumer data protection.

Heck counsels clients who are developing and evaluating cutting-edge technology relating to artificial intelligence and machine learning. Specifically, much of Heck’s AI practice assists clients in assessing and mitigating risk associated with the use and deployment of AI models and systems. Coupled with his experience representing clients with respect to privacy and data security matters, Heck is uniquely positioned to identify AI governance solutions that address regulatory requirements and further internal objectives.
Franklin advises clients on data privacy matters, such as risk management, policy development, training, audits, website privacy policies and terms of use, website cookies, M&A due diligence, and data breach and incident response management. His expertise spans federal privacy regulations such as HIPAA, GLBA, FCRA, TCPA, FERPA, and COPPA, along with state laws governing the processing of personal information, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. Additionally, Zenus provides guidance to clients on global data privacy matters, including the GDPR.
