Program Description:
This interactive ethics program examines the critical role of client intake in protecting lawyers and law firms from ethical violations, malpractice exposure, and high-risk client relationships. Through realistic intake scenarios, participants will learn how to identify red flags early, apply the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct during the intake process, and implement best practices for conflicts checks, engagement letters, and Outside Counsel Guideline review. The program emphasizes practical decision-making and risk management strategies to help attorneys determine not only whether they can take a case but whether they should.
