Receptionist (Atlanta)

Taft is currently seeking a Receptionist to join our team in Taft’s Atlanta office.
We are seeking a Receptionist with 2+ years’ experience to support to our team in our Atlanta office. All Taft employees operate under a “Client First” philosophy — in all things, we seek to provide exceptional services to our clients.
Essential Duties:
- Assist and greet internal/external clients in a professional and hospitable manner
- Professionally answer and direct all incoming calls
- Schedules conference rooms and meetings
- Coordinate the catering needs of the office for both internal and external clients
- Responsible for general up-keep of reception and hospitality area
- Performs miscellaneous administrative support duties for assigned office which may include validating parking tickets, arranging cab service, providing and tracking visitor badges
- Assists other departments and practice groups with special projects which may include entering firm invoices into LMS, processes notaries, compiling closing books and other tasks as requested
- Support client and firm events by assisting the Marketing Department with creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere
- Assists with hospitality tasks in assigned office as needed (checking conference rooms; coordinating with IT to setup video conferencing and audio needs; communicating with hospitality team for timely meeting setups and breakdowns; checking conference rooms and kitchens to ensure that all are stocked, clean and organized)
- Flexibility to undertake additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma required with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in office services, reception, or hospitality services, preferably in a law firm environment Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with Filesite, iManage a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and respond timely to requests throughout the office
- Proficiency using standard office equipment and systems (computer, phone, copier, printer, etc.)
- Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships with employees at all levels
- Must be a team player and willing to help colleagues whenever necessary
- Must be extremely organized and responsive to requests, emails, and calls
- Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance
- Takes initiative in face of obstacles and identifies what needs to be done and takes action
- Demonstrates a consistent client service approach to job responsibilities
- Ability to work overtime as needed
