Payroll Accountant (Indianapolis)

Taft is seeking a Payroll Tax Accountant to support our team in Taft’s Indianapolis office.
We are seeking a Payroll Tax Accountant with 2+ years of payroll experience to support our team in our Indianapolis office. Compile, reconcile, establish all tax withholding for federal, state and local jurisdictions related to all exempt and non-exempt staff partners, attorneys and employees over several company codes/locations/states. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Confirm all tax jurisdictions are set up for all tax IDs related to the firm.
- Reconcile filings for each federal, state, and local jurisdiction with ADP, payments at the bank and the agencies.
- Ensure any discrepancy is resolved and fees and penalties are not incurred.
- Establish tracking mechanisms for all taxes paid and filing completions.
- Ensure amendments are processed with ADP timely and accurately.
- Download and store via DeskSite, all payroll and tax reports.
- Other reporting or requirements as assigned by manager or required for processing payroll.

- Experience with ADP Time and Attendance and Work Force Now software.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One to three years of experience with payroll software such as ADP, Paycor, Ultipro, etc. Preferably ADP Time and Attendance and Work Force Now.
