Paralegal - Product Liability Litigation (Atlanta)

Taft is seeking a Paralegal to support the Products Liability practice group in our Atlanta office.
We are seeking a paralegal with 3+ years of experience to support the Products Liability practice group in our Atlanta office. This position will assist with all phases of litigation, including case management, discovery, medical record review, witness and expert coordination, trial preparation, and court filings. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients, vendors, medical providers, experts, and court personnel.
- Provide litigation support throughout all phases of product liability and mass tort matters.
- Manage and organize large volumes of case documents and data.
- Coordinate discovery, including document collection, review, production, redaction, and privilege logs.
- Draft and assist with discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and other litigation-related documents.
- Prepare and file pleadings and other documents in state and federal courts.
- Coordinate with expert witnesses and manage expert materials and reports.
- Conduct factual and procedural research using online legal research tools.
- Summarize deposition transcripts and organize deposition exhibits.
- Prepare witness files, exhibit binders, and trial notebooks.
- Assist with trial, arbitration, mediation, and hearing preparation, including onsite support when needed.
- Maintain case databases and track critical deadlines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Paralegal certificate preferred, or any combination of experience, education and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in product liability, mass tort, or complex commercial litigation.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and electronic filing systems.
- Proficient in case management software and/or specialty practice area software where applicable.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Kofax, and DocuSign
- Working knowledge of FileSite/iManage preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management with ability to multi-task and shift priorities successfully to meet necessary deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to successfully collaborate with teammates to accomplish assigned tasks and projects
