Marketing Data Steward

Taft is seeking a Marketing Data Steward to join our dynamic team of legal professionals.
The Marketing Data Steward is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and strategic usability of Taft’s DealCloud CRM contact data to support firmwide marketing and business development initiatives. This role manages email marketing mailing lists, supports Dispatch email marketing processes, and advances data quality and relationship intelligence efforts to enable more precise targeting, stronger engagement insights, and more effective attorney outreach and contact management.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Mailing List Management, Attorney Contact Support, and Data Quality
- Support the maintenance and strategic use of the firm’s email marketing lists to improve targeting for market-and practice-group-specific e-marketing outreach.
- Help mine, manage, leverage, and maintain attorney contact data for email marketing list
- management to appropriately deliver Taft’s messaging to key clients and prospects.
- Serve as a point of contact for large DealCloud contact imports related to attorney relationship management and marketing initiatives, ensuring data accuracy and proper CRM integration.
Dispatch Email Marketing System Support and Strategy
- Working closely with Taft’s Digital Marketing Manager, support the strategic use and optimization of its Dispatch email marketing platform to drive engagement and measurable campaign outcomes.
- Collaborate with the business development team to align email initiatives with the firm’s client development goals.
- Develop and maintain regular performance reporting for Dispatch email marketing campaigns across firmwide, practice group, and market-specific initiatives to measure engagement and inform strategy.
Dispatch Page Web Form Management
- Help create, maintain, and troubleshoot Dispatch Page web forms for event registration and targeted marketing initiatives.
- Test form functionality and support improvements for user experience, and data reliability.
- Maintain Dispatch Page templates and process improvements for end-users.
Relationship Intelligence, Enterprise Relationship Management (ERM) Data Quality Automation (DQA), and Contact Management
- Manage Taft’s Relationship Intelligence Data Quality Automation (DQA) dashboards for new and changed contact records.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of contact information to support reliable CRM
- data, effective marketing targeting, and meaningful attorney relationship insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, business, communications, information systems, data analytics, or a related field.
- Two to five years of experience working with CRM systems, marketing technology platforms, or email marketing tools, preferably within a professional services or law firm environment.
- Experience managing contact data, mailing lists, segmentation strategies, or marketing campaign audiences.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, filtering, lookup functions, and quality review processes.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data issues, identify root causes, and implement process improvements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and governance standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with attorneys and business development team members.
- Willingness to learn new systems, support technology adoption, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience supporting marketing campaigns, event communications, or lead tracking workflows is preferred.
- Familiarity with DealCloud CRM is preferred.
