Associate - Immigration (Detroit)

Taft is looking for a team-oriented associate to join our Immigration group in the Detroit office.
Taft is seeking an attorney with 2-5 years of experience practicing immigration law, with a strong focus on business/employment-based immigration. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience handling Nonimmigrant visas (e.g., H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-2) and Immigrant petitions (e.g., EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, PERM labor certifications). Candidates will have strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and procedures (USCIS, DOL, DOS processes) as well as experience managing cases with high attention to detail and deadlines Ideal candidates will excel in legal research, writing, and analytical skills with strong client communication and case management abilities Additionally candidates will have experience working with corporate clients, HR teams, and global mobility programs and possess the ability to handle complex RFE (Requests for Evidence) and audit responses. We are looking for an associate who is detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment as well as strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Taft offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability, flexible spending, 401K, Paid Time Off, paid holidays, bonus and more. The salary range for this position is $175,000 -245,000/year. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted information based on office location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
