Summary

William McFadden (Bill) is a seasoned litigator with an established record of successfully defending railroads and other large entities in complex, multi-party litigation. He is a partner in Taft's Commercial Litigation practice. Prior to joining Taft, Bill held the position of Regional Claims Director at BNSF Railway Company, where he led an innovative team that proactively risk-managed casualty claims and lawsuits in eight states. Prior to BNSF, Bill spent nearly 10 years as a litigator in Chicago where he gained first-chair trial experience and focused his practice on the defense of railroads and other corporate entities in state and federal court, FELA litigation, employment and commercial litigation. He also handled complex litigation in state and federal court on behalf of Cook County, including appellate advocacy and criminal prosecutions.
